Boeing 737-300

Jet Time operates 5 Boeing 737-300. The B737 can carry 148 passengers and is operated by two pilots - Captain and Flight Officer - and normally 4 Cabin Crews.

The max. distance is appr. 4000 km and the speed is 800 Km/Hour. With full fueltanks the B737 can carry 20.000 liter of Jet Fuel (16.200 Kg), which gives an airborne time of appr. 5 Hour and 40 Minutes.

Maximum Take Off Weight is 63,3 Tons. Fully loaded the B737 needs 2500 m for take off and the speed is about 220 - 320 KM/Hour. Landing speed is about 200 - 250 KM/Hour.

When completely empty, the aircraft weighs 34 tons. On flights lasting more than one hour, the aircraft goes up to the most economical flight altitude, which lies between 31,000 and 37,000 feet (9,300 to 11,300 metres) - the exact height depends on the weight of the aircraft and the wind and temperature conditions. When fully loaded, the B737 aircraft requires a runway of about 2,500 metres to take off, but when it is only carrying fuel for a short flight, the plane can start on runways as short as 1,300 to 1,400 metres.

The plane is technically inspected on a daily basis by a certified aircraft mechanic. This inspection takes about two hours. For every 250 flight hours, the aircraft will spend a whole day in the hangar for a more thorough check, and when the aircraft rounds 4,000 flight hours, it will a be subjected to a huge overhaul that takes one to two weeks, and where all systems and structural parts are minutely checked.
